COME TO MY WINDOW,
A Journey Beyond the Frame
Over the past five years, I’ve driven more than 50,000 miles, mostly solo, through the diverse landscapes of California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and beyond. The roads I’ve navigated carried me on a deeply personal healing journey. My cameras became both compass and companions, helping me witness, process, and remember why we are here. Along the way, I released unhealthy ways of being; old friendships were reborn while others gently let go, and new connections blossomed. Doors to experiences I never thought accessible, opened. Little did I know that in this healing journey I was learning a new language, the language of how nature and humanity can coexist in reciprocity.
COME TO MY WINDOW is an invitation to courage, exploration, and deep discovery. A photographic concept grounded in accessibility, presence, and reverence for the natural world.
Every image was taken from places anyone can reach: national monuments, state and national parks, public lands, trails, roadside overlooks, river beds, mesmerizing valleys, and quiet back country roads.
How we choose to see matters. These wild, at times jagged, immense landscapes nudged me beyond my comfort zone into a profound conversation with nature. Weaving in and out of grief and pain, I found my truth. As I healed, I began to understand the purpose of my humanity in unexpected ways, arriving fully, fiercely, and authentically. From this aliveness emerged a lasting reconnection, one that deepens my gratitude for the natural world.
The prints are never larger than the windows of the car I traveled in. This choice is both literal and metaphorical, a reminder that our view, our frame, is shaped as much by where we are as by how we choose to see. What you experience by observing them is what I saw from the ledge of my soul. Each image pulled me closer and closer to a beautiful entanglement with wonder.
These photographs invite you to your own experience, your own solo journey inward. These “windows” become thresholds not just to the landscape outside, but to transformation within. Take your time with each, wander through them, and notice what stirs inside. What pulls you in, what makes you want to step through and appear somewhere out there.
This experience is not about conquest or exclusivity. It is about intentionality, about what emerges when we slow down, pay attention, and allow the divine unknown to guide us. Come closer. Listen to the whispers. Stand still, let it all emerge.
COME TO MY WINDOW is for everyone. It calls us to reclaim our relationship with the land, to find stillness in motion, and to remember the vital role the natural world plays in our lives. Awe is not reserved for the few. It lives along the roadside, beneath vast skies, behind weathered fences, in quiet sandstone canyons, expansive desert basins, among giant trees, and at the very center of your being. All it asks is that we show up, eyes open, heart ready.
